Extremely effective full size (full size) folder E.D.C. with a head designed for aggressive use. Designed for users who are looking for the reliability of a fixed blade, but don't want to give up the compact size of a folding knife. The fruit of a collaboration between knifemaker Gudy van Poppel with Italian brand Fox.
Gudy van Poppel began his career as a blacksmith, manufacturing blades for several decades. In the mid-1990s, he learned to forge his own damascus steel. Gudy also manufactures all the parts for its knives itself, including screws and washers. He finishes his designs with natural materials like mammoth or walrus tusks, exotic woods.
High Speed D2 - high carbon, high chrome high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 59-61 HRC. Thanks to the high content of 13.0% chromium (Cr) offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combination of durability, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high wear resistance due to the high content of carbides in the microstructure.
Head - Clip Point with an aggressive shape and clearly marked belly finished with a scratch-masking method Stonewashed. The massive blade, combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings support the smooth operation of the opening mechanism of the wedge, which can be opened with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the fin forms a mini-garden preventing your hand from slipping on the blade. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular locking mechanism Liner Lock.
Handle - z green Micarta (high pressure pressed canvas with synthetic resin), beveled edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges, and the fore finger groove made on the front improves grip security.
