FENIX LED Flashlight LR80R

The Fenix LR80R LED flashlight is a specialized tool intended for paramedics, services and wherever exploration requires high light output and long range. Fenix LR80R is the most powerful and brightest flashlight of the FENIX brand because it emits a light output of 18,000 lumens which allows to illuminate the area up to 1130m which is equivalent to the length of as many as 11 football fields.
This flashlight has impressive light performance, incredible functionality, and durability and reliability what is needed to prove itself in all kinds of exploration, search and rescue operations and industrial applications.

CONSTRUCTION

The body of the flashlight is made of aircraft-grade aluminum A6061-T6 protected in thanks to the process of hAIII hard anodizing creating a durable coating extremely scratch- and abrasion-resistant.
The head has deep grooves that act as a heat sink to dissipate excess heat generated by the installed unit 6 extremely powerful LEDs.
On the flashlight's massive forehead is a a solid steel ring that allows the flashlight to be positioned securely, vertically without the possibility of damaging the optical system. Cutters located on the body of the flashlight provide a safe non-slip grip and give it a pleasing to the eye, modern design. The base of the flashlight has a flat end, so we can easily we can use it as a lamp. Simply position the flashlight vertically, directing the light beam upward, efficiently illuminating the interior of the room or cave. In addition, the flashlight is equipped with a clip for attaching a lanyard or safety cable, located in its rear part. The Fenix LR80R also has a removable metal grip making it easy to use the flashlight and metal belt clip, which, when removed reveals a thread compatible with photographic tripods.

The flashlight uses 6 Cree SST70 LEDs and smooth reflectors that generate an output of 18,000 lumens, o a range of as much as 1130m. Using tempered glass with a permeability of up to 98% and covering it with anti-reflective coating allowed to reduce the loss of light to an absolute minimum. The light angle of the flashlight is as high as 75 degrees making it ideal for all kinds of exploration, prospecting and object monitoring work.

The flashlight is distinguished by simple and convenient to use interface, divided into 2 groups of light modes: strong and normal. To change the intensity of the light there are 2 steel buttons with high responsiveness and increased resistance to damage. The location of the switches on the side of the flashlight (under the thumb) makes it very easy and convenient to use and change the light parameters.

Group of strong light modes:

The FENIX LR80R flashlight features intelligent proximity sensor, which, after 1.5 sec, switches the flashlight's light mode to ECO mode as soon as it senses that the head is too close to an obstacle (60mm). On the other hand, when the head is moved away from the illuminated object, the flashlight after 0.8 sec returns to the previous mode of operation.

In addition, the flashlight has a a locking device to prevent accidental activation of the flashlight during transport. To activate the lock, simultaneously press and hold both buttons for about 3 seconds. Disabling the lock is done in the same way.

The flashlight has a built-in, LED battery level indicator, which is activated by a single, short press on one of the flashlight switches.

Power supply

Fenix LR80R is powered by an extremely powerful battery pack with a capacity of as much as 12,000 mAh and 7.2 V.

This allows it to operate for about 12 days in ECO mode and 120 minutes in turbo mode (18,000 lumens).

Port usage USB-C 45W and support for pD3.0 / PD2, QC3.0 and QC fast charging protocols2.0 allows the flashlight to be fully charged in just 4 hours. Thanks to its capacious battery and USB-C input the flashlight can act as a power bank, enabling us in a crisis situation to recharge, for example, a phone. Sockets are protected from moisture, rain and dust with sealed rubber plugs.

For safety purposes, the flashlight is equipped with overheat protection, reverse polarity protection and low battery warning. The Fenix LR80R has high degree of protection IP68, which means that it is completely resistant to dust and dirt, fine solids, full immersion in water (for 30 minutes at a depth of 2 meters) and a drop from 1 meter.
