The Fenix HM70R headlamp has a compact, made of metal, solid yet lightweight body thanks to which it successfully passed drop tests from almost 2 meters, weather resistance tests and total submersion to a depth of 2m for 30 min. LED's
- The FENIX HM70R is equipped with 3 LEDs with different light colors. The main diode generating a stream of cool-color light with a power of 1600 lumens is the SST40 diode. This diode generates intense and very bright light, which passes through a transparent lens with anti-reflective coating after which it is reflected from the reflector. This generates an impressive range of 186m.
- The second and smaller diode used in this multifunction headlamp is the diode XP-G2 HE generating a maximum light output of neutral color and a power of 400 lumens. The light generated by such a diode is evenly and efficiently scattered by means of a collimating lens with a honeycomb structure. Neutral light color faithfully reproduces colors so it is recommended, for example, for workshop work or electricians where identifying the color of a cable or fuse is an important part of the work.
- In addition, the Fenix HM70R flashlight has 2 Everlight 2835 LEDs generating red light. The red light is ideal for nighttime map reading, emergency situations and rescue signaling, and adapting vision in the dark.
Battery
The headlamp is powered by a very powerful rechargeable battery ARB-L21 5000 mAh, which can provide up to about 100 hours of operation in low mode (30 lumens) or up to 120 minutes of continuous illumination in the strongest Turbo mode (1600 lumens). The HM70R can also be powered by an ordinary 18650 cell, but this requires the purchase of the inexpensive ALF-18 adapter.
USB-C
The HM70R headlamp by FeniX features a clever quick charging system via a hidden USB-C port. With this solution, charging the cell is possible without the need for an external charger. All you need is the included standard USB-C cable and a power source such as a power bank, laptop, desktop computer. The flashlight, thanks to its built-in USB-C port, not only saves money (for buying a charger), but allows you to conveniently enjoy the ability to charge anywhere. The battery recharges in just 4 hours. To access the USB-C port, which is responsible for charging the device, unscrew the side switch of the flashlight. It is a clever and thoughtful solution thanks to which the the port is protected from dust, dirt and water.
Usage
Flashlight is operated with a single enlarged silicone button, which is used to turn on and off and change modes. The button is comfortable enough to operate even with winter and work gloves. The user has a choice of 4 white light modes, 2 neutral light modes, and a fixed and flashing red light mode. The switch has 2 additional functions namely lock mode (holding the switch for 3 seconds) and lED indicator of the battery charge level.

Safety:
The manufacturer has taken care of the safety of users by using a number of security features and safety systems. The flashlight is equipped with reverse polarity protection in case we happen to put the battery in the wrong position by mistake. In addition, the Fenix HM70R features intelligent protection against overheating and a low battery warning. The headlamp also has a function of remembering the last mode of operation, which means that when you turn off the flashlight and turn it on again, it will return to the last used mode of operation.
