Fenix E20 V Flashlight2.0
Fenix E20 V2.0 is smaller and half as light as its predecessor, provides longer operating time and a more powerful light output of 350 lumens, in addition, it has a practical clip that makes it easy to carry the flashlight.
Fenix E20 V2.0 is a lightweight EDC flashlight that will be loved by fans of the Fenix brand and those looking for an efficient light for everyday carry. All thanks to its efficient light output, lightweight and handy design, and versatile applicability.
Major changes:
- Modern SST20 diode with stronger flux and neutral light color,
- collimation lens with a thickness of only 3 mm,
- a new, more compact design,
- a half-lighter tube,
- operating time of up to 200 h,
- detachable steel clip.
Light as a feather
Flashlight body Fenix E20 V2.0 is made of tempered aluminum, subjected to HA-III hard anodizing process, which makes the flashlight's tube and head resistant to scratches, abrasion and mechanical damage.
After reducing the dimensions of the flashlight by 27 mm, it is more handy and comfortable to use. After the upgrade the flashlight weighs only 42 g, which is about the size of an 18650 cell.
The milled aluminum surface improves grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping out of your hand. To operate the flashlight, there is a rear switch, responsible for activating the light and for changing modes. Removable steel clip allows the flashlight to be attached to a belt, pocket or backpack.
Wide and far
The light source is a powerful SST20 LED, which in high mode emits a flux of 350 lumens with a brightness of 3950 candelas and a range of 126 m. The light is evenly and widely dispersed due to the patented collimating lens with Al + UV coating.
A collimator that is only 3 mm thick minimizes light loss and provides an efficient beam width of as much as 85°. The user has 4 light modes available: eco, low, medium and high. A useful feature is the use of eco light often referred to as "moonlight" with a flux of 1 lumen.
In this mode, the flashlight can operate for up to 200 hours. Such a small glow is enough, to discreetly illuminate a purse, hip kidney or open a door lock.
Popular sticks
To power the flashlight we receive two AA alkaline batteries, which can be replaced with Ni-MH batteries. The advantage of such a power supply is its easy availability, low cost and light weight.
One switch
To operate the flashlight, there is a rear switch, which is responsible for activating/deactivating the light and changing modes (with a half-click). Simple interface combined with a back button one-handed operation increase the comfort of daily use.
Security
The flashlight uses several safety systems m.in. reverse polarity protection, low voltage warning and "smart protection" against overheating.
The high IP68 rating makes the flashlight resistant to total immersion in water (to a depth of 2 m), dust and dirt, and dropping.
Fenix E20 V2.0 is a lightweight and handy flashlight with an efficient light output, which will be great for everyday use, as part of edc gear or a backup flashlight.
The parameters shown were obtained under laboratory conditions. Eneloop 1900 mAh rechargeable battery and high quality alkaline batteries were used during testing.
