Fenix ARE-X2 USB charger

Fenix ARE-X2 has two ports suitable for charging a wide range of lithium-ion (Li-ion), nickel-metal-hydride (Ni-MH) or nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) batteries. The charger will automatically select the appropriate charging mode for each type of battery.

This charger has a mode to power external devices, such as a smartphone or tablet. Simply connect them through the USB port with a cable, and place the charged batteries in the charger port. Fenix ARE-X2 charger with batteries will start acting like a power bank.

The second interesting function of this charger is to unload external devices. The condition is that the device in question has a USB port. By connecting them to the micro USB port on the charger, it will start drawing power from it, charging the Li-ion batteries placed in the ports. This function is not available for Ni-MH and Ni-CD batteries. Discharging itself does not require placing cells in ports.

Fenix ARE-X2 is the first device that allows free energy transfer from one device to Li-ion batteries and vice versa.

ARE-X2 charger does not need to charge two batteries at the same time. If there is a need to charge only one cell, it can be done without a problem.
