CRKT 2394 Minimalist Katana Knife
CRKT 2934 KATANA knife
Alan Folts is a knifemaker from Greenvile, North Carolina, who creates a knock-down range of custom items, including titanium sushi chopsticks. Its Minimalist has proven popular, so CRKT decided to expand the range of these knives.
Here's a very small and lightweight knife that provides surprising comfort and blade control thanks to its unusual blade geometry, full-tang design, 9 centimeter Katana-type blade, finger recesses, handles made of hand-shaped epoxy resin.
The Minimalist comes with zytel sheath and a cord to be worn around the neck. Since the knife together with the scabbard weighs only 68 grams it can be used as a eDC knife, whose presence you will hardly notice.
Unlike many small knives, this one is really useful for many everyday jobs. The type of blade provides excellent penetration while the blade is great for peeling fruit or precision woodworking.
True to its name, it's a really minimal fixed blade, but it's also the most useful knife we've seen for its size.
