Snecx Tan - considered the world's most mechanically innovative knife designer Malaysian knifemaker and designer famous for his unique custom knives from the Snecx Design Lab. Snecx Design Lab was established in 2015 to develop a conceptual iFS-20 boltless knife, thanks to which Snecx Tan has become a legend in the world of knives.
Nitro-V chromium-based stainless martensitic knife steel introduced by New Jersey Steel Baron (NJSB). The manufacturer used an existing superior knife steel AEB-L and upgraded it with nitrogen and vanadium to improve edge performance and achieve high hardness and extreme corrosion resistance, especially crucial in the marine industry and humid environments. Nitro V can be used in diving knives due to its resistance to staining and corrosion. The recommended working hardness is in the range of 58-62HRC, has very good impact strength compared to other steels. It is harder than stainless powder steels, such as M390, Elmax i S35VN. Therefore Nitro-V will be a good fit for knives that require good durability.
SuperLock- innovative blade locking system, a design by respected knifemaker and designer, Snecx Tan. Two-way lock secures the blade in the open position. Closing the knife is done by moving the backspacer backward, which eliminates accidental unlocking of the blade. Extremely easy disassembly allows access to the blade mechanism for cleaning or maintenance.
Head - type Reverse Tanto finished with elegant satin finish on amphibians, the remainder in the Stonewash. Opened with a double-sided stud in the wedge in the blade (Dual Thumb Stud), so it can be easily used by people right and left-handed. The smooth operation of the opening mechanism is responsible for ceramic ball bearings. The small thickness of the wedge, combined with the high, flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The whole thing is locked with Snecx's proprietary superlock, Superlock.
Lexan™ - light and rigid material with very good mechanical properties (especially impact strength) and high transparency. It is an excellent alternative to glass, thanks to its extraordinary impact resistance (200-300 times more impact resistant) virtually indestructible.
Handle - chamfered facings of polished, transparent plastic Lexan™, attached to liners stainless steel. The simplicity and robustness of the design provide assurance of many years of use. The handle has been relieved by a series of holes in the center of the facings. Clip twopositional (right/left) allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position. In the rear part there is hole for threading safety or decorative cable. As in other models, the pivot axis is decorated with a stylized manufacturer's logo.
Case - comes with a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
