14C28N - martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in a range of knife steels produced by Swedish steel mills Sandvik. Optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as the addition of nitrogen 0.11% (N) significantly increased corrosion resistance. Considered an improved version of steel 13C26. Unbeatable in the price/quality category!
Head - type Drop Point, finished with scratch-masking Black Stonewashed. The wide blade converges toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The small thickness of the wedge, combined with the high, flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings support the opening of the blade in two ways, with a double-sided stud in the blade (Double Thumb Stud) or fast front flippera. The whole is locked with a modern locking mechanism Nested Liner Lock.
Nested Liner Lock, liner-lock modification, which involves nesting the liner of the locking mechanism in the liner.
Handle - of composite Burlap Micarta (jute fabric pressed under pressure with synthetic resin), beveled edges of covers eliminate sharp edges. All screwed to a solid backspacer, also made of Micarta. Above the clip, a hole for threading a belay or decorative line. Axis pivot is decorated with a stylized brand logo Civivi. Two-position (right/left) steel clip deep carry allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in the tip-up (blade tip up).
Case - comes with a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
