Urd 2.0, Black G10, Stonewashed D2 is a small, massively built neck knife with a fixed head of full tang construction. Designed by Midgards Messer, a company founded by Dirk Hofmeister specializing in the design of handy tactical knives that combine Nordic mythology with contemporary outdoor knives.
D2 - high-carbon tool steel. Thanks to the high content of 10-13% chromium offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combination of durability, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and abrasion resistance.
Head - blade type Cleaver (chopper) with a thickness of 4.7 mm. Plain blade Plain, with thick reinforcement beading for strength, was derived flat ground (Flat Grind), providing excellent cutting properties. The blade has been finished using the Stonewash. Notches have been made on the back of the blade for more secure thumb placement (jimping). A small hole in the front of the blade can be used, for example, to hang up the knife.
Handle - made of black composite G10 (fiberglass compressed under pressure with synthetic resin) attached to the tango with screws. The texturing of the handle improves grip security and the ergonomic contouring facilitates a "three-finger" grip. The back of the handle features a lanyard hole, which is a hole for a safety or decorative cord.
Vagina - flat, made of kydex, holes on the periphery for multi-position mounting of a belt holder or neck chain.
