Cataclyst Flipjoint is a folder with an original design, made of very good materials while maintaining an attractive price. The Cataclyst 42 is an ideal compact E.D.C. It features a smooth, dynamic action of the blade-opening mechanism, a clip point utility blade, a deep carry clip, and a light weight (77 g).

Head - type Straight Back finished with Satin made of excellent steel 440C. The expansive belly extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife in combination with the the high, flat grind (Flat Grind) gives almost razor-level cutting properties. The blade is set on ball bearings supporting the work of the opening mechanism, so you can efficiently unfold the folder with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper). On the back of the wedge upper jimping, notched thumb rest. The folder is equipped with a locking mechanism slipjoint.

AISI 440C (American Iron and Steel Institute) high-carbon (min. 0.95%) martensitic alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 57-59 HRC with impressively high strength and corrosion resistance, containing min. 16% chromium. High carbon content creates chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for the manufacture of cutting tools knife blades and scissors and medical instruments.

Handle - beveled facings of black plastics G10. Cover surface with tactile texture to improve grip confidence. All attached to liners made of stainless steel. Simple, sturdy design provides assurance of many years of use. Backspacer z black plastics G10. In the back of the handle Lanyard Hole, hole for safety or decorative cord.
