SlipJoint - non-locking ball detent mechanism used in folders, nonlocking ball detent. Force is required to assemble the knife. SlipJoint holds the wedge in both the folded and unfolded positions.
AISI 440C (American Iron and Steel Institute) high-carbon, martensitic alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 57-59 HRC. Containing min. 16% chromium with impressively high strength and corrosion resistance. High carbon content creates chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for the manufacture of cutting tools knife blades and scissors, as well as medical instruments.
Head - satinized with a refined approximation of Steepfoot (sheep's foot) profile. Plain blade Plain, brought out flat grind (Flat Grind) for excellent geometry and durability. Oval cutout to open the blade.
Handle - asymmetrical: made of stainless steel, which is the base of the non-blocking mechanism, and waterproof with natural micarta in brown, with a slightly rough surface. Open design tzw. open-backed, facilitates cleaning and maintenance. A cutout in one of the facings facilitates right-hand access to the oval opening for opening the blade. Right clip allows the knife to be carried in a tip-up position tip-up (tip up).
