Benchmade 5371FE-2601 Shootout automatic knife
Benchmade 5371FE-2601 Shootout is a modern automatic knife of the type OTF (Out The Front), designed for professional users and people who expect the highest reliability in situations requiring quick response. Link drop point blade of Z-Wear® tool steel, lightweight handle with Grivory® and carbide knocker creates a tool that is perfect for EDC, outdoor activities and rescue applications.
With its lightweight, slim design and premium materials, the Shootout is a popular choice for uniformed services and users for whom speed, reliability and durability are important.
Double Action OTF Automatic Mechanism
Full one-handed control
The Benchmade Shootout uses a mechanism Double Action OTF, in which both the extension and retraction of the blade is done automatically. Operating the knife comes down to work massive zipper:
forward shift - advancing the blade,
retracting - retracting the head.
This design allows instant use of the knife even under stressful conditions and comfortable one-handed operation, including the weaker one.
Key features of the Benchmade Shootout model
Automatic knife with tactical in nature
Head Drop Point of tool steel Z-Wear®
Lightweight handle made of durable Grivory®
Carbide pounder for emergency glass breaking
Coating Flat Earth PVD Battlewash increasing the durability of the wedge
Highly seated, adjustable clip to carry discreetly
Modern design, rough texture and ergonomic handle profile
Z-Wear® - steel without compromise
Maximum blade performance
The head was made of Crucible CPM Z-Wear®, modern tool steel developed for intensive use. Hardness 63-65 HRC translates into:
exceptionally long maintenance of focus,
very high wear resistance,
stable and aggressive cutting edge.
Z-Wear® is a development of the well-known steel CPM Cru-Wear, offering an even better balance of hardness, strength and resistance to chipping. In practice, this means a blade that works predictably and effectively, even under heavy loads in EDC, field or emergency situations.
Due to the high hardness of the steel, it is recommended to use diamond sharpeners, which significantly facilitate the sharpening process.
PVD coating, ergonomics and rescue functions
Durability and firm grip
The head is protected with a coating Flat Earth PVD Battlewash, applied by the gas phase method. It provides:
scratch protection,
enhanced corrosion resistance,
additional reinforcement of the blade surface.
Handle with Grivory® is lightweight, rigid and resistant to damage. Thanks to its precise 3D processing, rough texture and profiled shape, it provides a firm grip even in difficult conditions.
Integrated carbide pin functions as a glass breaker, making the Shootout a useful tool also in rescue and emergency situations.
Discreet portability and American quality
Highly seated clip with the option to switch to the left or right side allows the knife to be carried conveniently and discreetly in a pocket, on a belt or backpack. The Shootout model is an example of american precision Benchmade, combining modern technology with a practical approach to the user.
