Ultralight design

  • Benchmade Altitude Hunt is a handy knife with a skeletonized construction made of from a single piece of steel. The knife features a minimalist design, which contributes to an imperceptible weight of only 47 g. Such low weight was achieved by consciously abandoning full-size cladding.
  • The function of the handle is performed by a profiled mandrel and carbon fiber side inserts. The knife is fully powder coated in orange color. The bright color scheme ensures good visibility of the knife and makes it easy to find among the vegetation.

Premium stainless steel

  • The knife has an 86mm long blade, made of made of elite CPM-S90V stainless steel, hardened to the optimum hardness for knives 59-61 HRC.
  • CPM-S90V is a luxury stainless steel with high vanadium and carbon content, which make the blade retains its sharpness for a long time, is resistant to corrosion, blood and wear.
  • When choosing a hard-steel knife, get a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.

Comfort and accuracy

  • Precise guidance of the blade is facilitated by transverse cutters cut at the base and end of the head and handle. The Altitude Hunt uses carbon fiber micro cladding providing a stable point of support for the fingers.

  • For safe carrying of the knife there is a boltaron sheath, thermoplastic material with high resistance to damage, temperature and moisture.
