American CPM-S30V stainless steel
The Benchmade 551-S30V has a utilitarian drop-point blade with a flat grind. The blade is made of American cPM-S30V stainless steel hardened to a hardness of 58-60 HRC.
The shape of the head, the type of grinding and the quality of the steel used make the blade maintain excellent working sharpness for a long time and have outstanding cutting properties. Double-sided pin allows for convenient one-handed blade unfolding for both right- and left-handed people.
A section of the blade's back has been raised and grooved to create a stable point of support for the fingers during precise blade guidance.

Handle
Liners attached to 420J steel inserts, made of black Noryl GTX material. Non-slip textured handle provides a solid and secure grip on the knife even with a wet hand.
