Sheepsfoot made of CPM-230V
The Benchmade 550-S30V has a utilitarian sheepsfoot blade with a high flat grind. The blade is made of American cPM-S30V stainless steel hardened to a hardness of 58-60 HRC. The shape of the head, the type of grinding and the quality of the steel used make the blade maintain excellent working sharpness for a long time and have outstanding cutting properties. A hole in the blade allows right- and left-handed people to unfold the blade comfortably with one hand.
A section of the blade's back has been raised and grooved to create a stable point of support for the fingers during precise blade guidance.
Locking mechanism
Responsible for the safety of operation is the benchmade's flagship mechanism, a double-sided Axis-lock, valued for its tremendous mechanical strength, resistance to dirt, and ease of use for right- and left-handed users.
Handle
Sand facings attached to 420J steel inserts, made of noryl GTX plastic. Non-slip textured handle provides a solid and secure grip on the knife even with a wet hand.
Discreet carrying of the knife in the pocket is provided by a steel clip, with the possibility of switching to the other side.
