Luxury steel CPM-S90V hardened to a hardness of 59-61 HRC
The knife uses a blade with a utilitarian drop-point profile, made of premium steel - CPM-S90V. This super steel is hardened to a hardness of 59-61 HRC. CPM-S90V is a luxury stainless steel with a very high content of vanadium and carbon, which make the blade unusually have excellent retention, very resistant to abrasion and corrosion. When choosing a hard-steel knife, get a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.
Simple and convenient use and reliable mechanisms
The blade can be conveniently unfolded with one hand, thanks to the use of a double-sided peg (made of anodized aluminum), thus allowing right- and left-handed people to operate the knife comfortably.
The head lock is, of course, the Axis-lock, Benchmade's flagship mechanism, valued for its tremendous load resistance, insensitivity to dirt and ease of use.
The Benchmade 535-3 Bugout has lightweight and durable carbon fiber facings, which, in addition to its striking appearance, ensures the knife's minimal weight - only 57 g. Gently profiled facings with non-slip texturing, provide a secure and comfortable grip on the knife. Compact clip with the option of translation (left/right), allows you to carry the knife in your pocket in a very discreet, unobtrusive way. There is also a hole in the handle for attaching a rope or paracord braid.
