Benchmade 431BK-1 Redoubt is a folding knife that bridges the gap between an EDC knife and a typical tactical knife. The knife has a minimalist design, a size perfectly suited for everyday carry, and excellent cutting qualities.

The blade is made of excellent CPM- D2 steel hardened to 60-62 HRC. CPM-D2 is a powdered variant of air-hardened D2 steel, but with much better retention and a modified carbide microstructure that makes the blade outstandingly resistant to wear, impressively long-lasting sharpness and relatively easy to sharpen.
With such parameters, CPM- D2 is a great alternative to much more expensive super steels, especially if you do not have a sizable budget. A hole in the back of the grip allows you to attach a lanyard or decorative paracord braid. To increase the reliability and strength of the design, the knife uses skeletonized steel reinforcing inserts (liners).
