BaoFeng - UV-82 5W HTQ USB-C radio - 5 W - 2800 mAh
Latest release of the popular UV-82 walkie-talkie from BaoFeng company. It is a dual-band radio, distinguished by two separate PTT buttons for each VFO. Besides, it has a 2800 mAh battery with USB-C charging and a redesigned antenna for signal modulation.
The maximum power of this walkie-talkie is 5 W, with its usable frequency band being 144-146 MHz for RX and 430-440 MHz for TX. During favorable weather conditions and possibly maintaining theoretical eye contact, the user is able to achieve more than a few kilometers of conversation range. Besides, the radio is equipped with many useful functions.
For example, it has an LCD screen with backlighting, and there is an extensive settings menu with more than 40 items, a Dual Watch function for listening to two frequencies at once, an LED flashlight, and even memory for 128 channels. Built-in FM radio receiver allows you to listen to the radio station of your choice in the frequency range from 65 to 108 MHz. When a signal from the communication band arrives, the walkie-talkie automatically switches to it.
The abbreviation HTQ refers to optimized signal modulation, which helps work during interference. Regardless of the operations, it is a good idea to carry the radio in a dedicated radio pocket due to the ergonomics of operating the device with a clearly protruding antenna. Additional equipment included with the walkie-talkie will allow you to customize it to your needs.
