Replaceable water filter WaterBasics RED Line with mixed media filtration technology use a unique combination of the most advanced filter materials available today. Aquamir engineers have created a multi-stage filtration system that uses the power of positive charge differential to "pull" particles as small as viruses out of the water stream, while maintaining a high flow rate. This technology has been extensively tested and proven by independent laboratories to consistently remove protozoan cysts, bacteria and viruses according to ANSI/NSF standards without the need for cumbersome chemical disinfections such as bromine chlorine or iodine. The addition of submicron carbon particles to the filter material increases the absorption capacity required to reduce chlorine and harmful chemicals, bad taste and odor in accordance with ANSI/NSF - 42 standards.
