Kiridashi is a traditional Japanese knife that provides excellent tip control, reverse grip capability for controlled pulling cuts. This striking tool is perfect for cutting leather and wood, cutting veneer, rope and fabric, or opening cardboard boxes, in office work, not to mention gardening work. The single blade of the knife is easy to sharpen. And perhaps best of all, it's a really cool looking knife.
The head is made of made of Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel with chemical composition optimized for high quality for professional knife applications. The chemical composition provides a unique combination of properties, including:
- Excellent edge performance
- Very high hardness
- Good corrosion resistance
Sandvik 12C27 is mainly recommended for knife applications that place very high demands on sharpness, edge stability and corrosion resistance.
This blade can be easily bound with wooden covers connected by Corby screws.
The head has mounting holes to fit Corby type screws (4.6 mm) or ordinary metal rods, and a hole for a cord.

Sharpening and maintenance. Don't make the tool too dull. Sharpen your knife on dedicated whetstones and sharpeners. Your tool should be cleaned, dried and oiled regularly. Especially after use in humid environments.
Be careful when using, the tool has sharp edges, risk of injury. Remember to keep the blade pointed outward from the body and away from bystanders. Use with protective gloves, store in a safe place. Keep away from children. Dispose of used product according to local regulations.
